Welcome to CriticalToDo!
This app is designed to help you stay focused on your goals by breaking them down into manageable sub-tasks. Here’s how to get started:
Go to the New Goal section at the top.
Type the name of your goal (e.g., “Finish Project Report”).
Tap Add.
You’ll then be asked to choose a target date for your goal.
The Overview card shows:
How many goals you’ve completed out of your total active goals.
How many sub-tasks you’ve finished compared to the total.
A progress bar to give you a quick visual snapshot.
All your active goals appear under Your Goals.
For each goal you can:
Check off sub-tasks to complete your goal.
Set or update the target date with the calendar icon.
Delete the goal if you no longer need it.
Archive the goal (once completed) to move it into Completed Goals.
Expand a goal to see its sub-tasks.
Tap + Add subtask to create one.
Each sub-task can also have a target date.
Check off sub-tasks as you complete them.
Use the delete button (x) if you need to remove a sub-task.
If you delete a goal or sub-task by accident, an Undo bar appears at the bottom.
Tap Undo to restore it.
If you don’t want the Undo option anymore, tap the small x to close it.
Completed and archived goals are stored under Completed Goals.
Tap Completed Goals to expand or collapse the list.
For each archived goal you’ll see:
The goal name (with a gold star).
Target and completion dates.
Sub-tasks and when they were finished.
You can edit, restore, or permanently delete archived goals by tapping Edit.
Tap Edit on a goal in your Completed Goals list to:
Change the goal’s title.
Update or delete sub-tasks.
Restore the goal back to active.
Permanently delete the goal.
Goals are automatically sorted by their earliest target date.
Sub-tasks within a goal are sorted to keep the most relevant ones near the top.
You can collapse or expand goals to keep your list tidy.
When you complete a goal, a celebratory banner will appear with stars to recognize your achievement!
You can only mark a goal complete when all of its sub-tasks are done.
Use Archive instead of Delete if you want to keep a record of completed goals.
The gold star indicates something special: either a completed goal or a highlight in your Completed Goals list.
✅ That’s it! With CriticalToDo, you can stay focused, break big goals into smaller steps, and track your progress in a simple, visual way.
